Who can forget Vinod Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan’s camaraderie in Amar Akbar Anthony? Their comic timing and on-screen chemistry was appreciated by their fans to a great extent.
When Amitabh Bachchan went down memory lane to cherish moments of his friendship with Vinod Khanna, what flowed out was absolutely emotional.
Big B took to Twitter to share a poem for late Vinod Khanna. He also expressed his remorse and wrote how sad he was to see 48 years of friendship burn in ashes.
Later in the night, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor also posted a condolence message on veteran actor’s sad demise.
Vinod Khanna passed away yesterday after suffering from prolonged illness. The actor was admitted to Hurkisondas hospital in Mumbai.
In his long Bollywood career, he worked in more than 100 films, and was an active politician, and Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, Punjab. Vinod is survived by his wife Kavita Khanna, sons Rahul, Akshaye and Sakshi, and daughter Shraddha Khanna. Before marrying Kavita, Vinod Khanna was married to Getanjali but they later got divorced.
Vinod Khanna made his film debut in 1968 with Mann Ka Meet, and later on he went on to becoming a star and his performance in films like Chandni, Muqaddha Ka Sikander, The Burning Train, Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Imtihaan, Inkaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Lahu ke Do Rang, Qurbani, Dayavaan and Jurm.
In 1982 he took a break from work to join his guru Osho Rajneesh at his ashram. Later, he gave two superhits, Insaaf and Satyamev Jayate.
And his latest films like Dabangg, Players, Dabangg 2 and Dilwale received a lot of appreciation.
Industry and his fans will surely miss Vinod Khanna’s charisma.
